Show More >>Mohammed Assaf is now the good will ambassador for Palestinian Refugees at the United Nations Relief and Works Agency. Assaf is from Gaza, and earlier this year he jumped a fence and crossed into Egypt, to enter the \"Arab Idol\" singing competition on Middle Eastern Television. At the competition, he won the title of \"Arab Idol\" for his musical abilities. Now, as someone that millions of youth in the Middle East look up to, he is championing the cause of his people who continue to suffer at the hands of Israel. Assaf pointed out that without the aid provided by the United Nations, the people of Gaza would be unable to survive.
