Reports say the ring-leader of the al-Qaeda-linked group, Abdullah Azzam Brigades, was a high-ranking official of Saudi Arabia\'s intelligence service. Media reports also say that Riyadh put heavy pressure on Lebanon to extradite Majed al-Majed before his death in detention on Saturday. Meanwhile, Iran\'s Intelligence Minister Mahmoud Alavi has said that Tehran doesn\'t have much information about the death of Majed, but it knows he died under suspicious circumstances. Majed was the man behind the recent terrorist attack on the Iranian Embassy in Beirut. His group launched the attack outside the embassy on November 19, killing 23 people including an Iranian diplomat. Over a hundred 60 others were also injured.
