This is a ‘meccan’ surah. This surah is sometimes also known as Surat al-Iqra (\"Read\"). Imam Ja’far as-Sadiq (as) said that whoever recites this surah in the daytime or at night, and then passes away, he will be counted amongst the martyrs who died while fighting on the side of the Holy Prophet (saw).
